Blue Dogs Rabid Red

What constitutes the Trump base? We will use generalizations. Trump’s base compromises what was once called blue dog democrats. This was a solid wall of democratic voters in the deep south. That wall changed hands during the Reagan revolution and has been the conservative bastion of strength ever since. You can add to this their slightly elevated cousins across the country The Forgotten Americans.

Make no mistake about it, this ginned up group of right leaning populists are a danger. They cheer authoritarianism and isolationism, without a clue historically as to what this implies. They are a threat to the system, however screwed up it is has become. This administration is heading toward a government better suited to a third world nation under crony capitalism than our country. Even dysfunctional our status quo is better than this farce. Sadly, this demographic has arisen because of the far rights manipulation of them via base psychological programming, called right-wing news.

The Sinclair Broadcast Group now awaiting approval from the FCC to expand their media empire is a prime example. They demand their 170 local affiliates air pro-Trump news pieces on their broadcasts. These stories, many being pure fiction, are nothing but a propagandist wing or state sponsored news outlet. That should make any American Citizen shutter.

This rabid red dog base unwittingly is the same type of supporter who helped elevate the Nazi Party to power in Germany. They also are only a small portion of the populist movements spreading throughout western civilization.

Without a grip on reality, the empire of the west is imploding as the real enemy is us!
